Winter in the Keweenaw 2014
Michigan's Upper Peninsula is a special place in any season. The Keweenaw is the northernmost extent of the UP that juts out into Lake Superior where winters are brutal, yet seemingly of no real concern to the residents. It is an historical place that showcases a cycle of American industrial boom and bust, retains precious architectural treasures, and is home to truly wonderful people and compelling natural beauty. This gallery contains images captured during my visit to the Keweenaw in March of 2014.
